We are proud to announce the official launch of the FGC Array Fiber Geometry System, setting a new benchmark in the precise measurement of fiber array units (FAUs). The FGC Array delivers unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in characterising FAUs, supporting a wide range of applications in telecommunications, data centres, and photonic integrated circuits (PICs) to ensure precise characterisation and validation of FAUs.
Designed for R&D, laboratory, and production environments, the FGC Array delivers rapid, reliable, and user-independent results. It accurately measures key fiber parameters of FAUs, including core position, core spacing, core diameter, and PM stress rod angle, ensuring the highest level of quality control and performance optimisation.
Key Features of the FGC Array:
- High-Precision Measurements – Achieves 0.25 μm accuracy and 0.1 μm repeatability for consistent, reliable results.
- Advanced Optical System – Equipped with an infinity-corrected objective and high-resolution CMOS camera for superior image clarity and distortion correction.
- Core Illumination Technology – Uses 630 nm red light for uniform illumination, enhancing accuracy across various fiber types, including MTP, and FC/APC connectors.
- Fully Automated Translation Stage – Ensures precise alignment and measurement across FAUs up to 22 mm wide.
- Versatile Fiber Handling – Adjustable holder supports FAUs from 2 mm to 22 mm with a tiltable 32 mm mount.
- Production-Ready Software – Simplifies workflows with automated analysis tools, ensuring repeatable, user-independent results.
“Arden’s FGC Array represents a major step forward in FAU measurement technology,” said David Robinson, Founder and CEO at Arden. “With its cutting-edge optical system, automation, and precision engineering, it delivers unmatched accuracy and efficiency for our customers in research, manufacturing, telecommunications, data centres, and the photonic integrated circuits (PICs) industry. We believe the FGC Array will enable these industries to validate their FAUs with greater confidence, contributing to a brighter technological future.”
The FGC Array will make its debut at OFC 2025 from April 1-3 in San Francisco! David Robinson and Alistair Robinson will be on-site, ready to demonstrate this innovative product. Book a 30-minute demo slot with us here.
